In remembrance of Anita Shade

Bleeding Heartland Rollergirls recently lost a loved member of its extended family. Anita Shade aka Shady McBookworm aka Inspector Chicken lost her battle with cancer on Wednesday, April 10th. A longtime Bloomington resident, Anita enriched the lives of many people in and outside derby. She was a volunteer during the early days of our league and a constant supporter as we grew.

Anita, Shady, Speck – BHRG has valued everything you’ve done for us, as individuals and as an organization. You were a very true friend, and a loved member of our family.

Memorial contributions may be made to Positive Link, a program of IU Health Bloomington, addressed to 333 E. Miller Dr., Bloomington IN 47401, or to the S.P.O.T clinic at 612 S. Main St., Cloverdale IN 46120.
